Sometimes I get these random thoughts...
Like, for instance:
OK, imagine a world where humans never evolved (sorry, creationists, evolution is REAL... if you don't believe it, just ask Mr. Swine Flu), and say, elephants became the dominant species of the world. They're pretty smart already, so that's not much of a stretch. Anyways, so elephants are the dominant species... so, what would their computers look like? What would their cars (vehicles) look like? Would they wear clothes?
Like I said... random.

I've seen some ridiculous tattoos before, but
this one takes the cake. I mean, it's just... wrong. But so right.
This picture runs a close second in the "What the...?" category.
Happy Friday!

Mashable.com. A neat site. I don't read that blog, but luckily, that doesn't keep me from not knowing every time there's a new post, because I have... Twitter! I know they're not directly connected, but it seems like there are soooo many twats who just love to tweet links every time there's a new post at mashable (and even worse, people who re-tweet other people's tweets about mashable).
I mean, seriously. I know people tweet links all the time. That's fine. But damn, if I wanted a notification
every freaking time there's a new post at mashable (or anywhere else, for that matter), then I'd just follow mashable on my RSS reader.
How about I tweet every time there's a new story at CNN? Think that'd get annoying?
Man, I hate talking about this stuff. One, because I try not to be so negative. But mostly because I feel like a douchebag for saying tweet so damned much.

OK, I'm about to admit something I haven't spoken about in years, to anyone. No, it's nothing majorly dish-y or anything like that; it's just one of those things that's in the back of your mind, and it's so unimportant that you never really mention it to anybody...
See, I have this weird memory. From when I was a kid (5, I think). It's kind of a weird, creepy memory, but the thing is, it happened so long ago, I don't even know if it really happened. That is, I don't know if it's a "true" memory, or if it was a dream. Do you have any "memories" like that? Where it was so long ago, you don't even know if it's real?
Anyway, here's the story:
So, like I said, I was about 5 years old, and my family was on a trip to the Philippines (I forget if it was Manila or Baguio City) to visit some relatives. Now, where we were staying was a city, but during one day there, we made a trip out to the country to visit some other relatives. So, my relatives are all inside chatting, and I was left with nothing to do. So I went outside and started digging. I don't remember why, but I was just digging in the ground (I guess I found it amusing somehow). Well, about a foot down, I ran into something. I looked into the hole, and there was this like... membrane-y looking thing, just sitting there in the hole. It was white-ish and soft looking. And it was expanding and contracting, like it was breathing or something. It definitely looked alive. I don't know what it was or what it could have been, but I got the impression that it was big. It was as wide as the hole (small hole, maybe 6 inches across or so), and it filled the whole thing; surely, I could have seen more of it, but I didn't know what it was, and being only 5, it scared the shit out of me. Seriously. I "remember" thinking "Oh, no!" and then hurredly covering that thing back up. And, to this day, I've only ever mentioned that story to one person.
Maybe because it sounds so unreal. Maybe it's because I'm embarassed that for all these years, I've mixed up a memory for a dream. Maybe it's because I'm scared that it was an alien, and it's coming to get me.
Bottom line: it was just some minor thing that happened years ago, and if I never know what that thing was, I'll still be able to sleep at night. But what was it? What could it have been?
Anyways, that's my "memory" for ya. What about you? Do you have any "memories" that you're not sure were just dreams?

I just spent the last few hours deleting all the spam comments that have been posted since, well... since last time I posted anything. Damn, September? That's a long break, even for me. Well, I'm back now. Again. If, for nothing else, I can be one of those people that twitters "new blog post!" every time they blog something. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Hey, I'm trying to join the crowd!
Anyway, so I think I got most of it (the spam). If you happen to come across any on here (not that you'd want to go looking for some or anything), just let me know.

This is one of those things that may have been around forever and I just haven't heard of it until recently (don't you hate when that happens?), but I just heard about this, and have spent an hour or so checking out these
critter photos.
I guess the story is, this guy has a bunch of chipmunks living in his backyard. He knows them. He feeds them. And he takes hilarious pictures of them. Of course, my favorites are the ones with
Commander Caiin, but even the ones with just almonds in their mouths are cute as hell, too. The posts with the
stats just kill me.
So, sometime if you're bored, and if you've got a few minutes to see some cuteness,
check it out.

Watching "Ugly Betty" last night, and seeing Lindsay on there (playing a former mean girl type, natch) kinda reminded me... Lindsay Lohan is still a young, talented woman... who happens to also be pretty hot. Sure, she had a few rough months in there where she seemed to be losing her shit, but she seems to be on the straight and narrow lately.
Perhaps that was a poor choice of words, considering who she's dating (Samantha Ronson)...
But seriously. She hasn't been caught passed out in a car lately. She hasn't been caught with drugs. Yeah, I know... "OOOOOoooo but she's dating a... a... a woman!" So what? If that's what it takes for her to be at peace; "normal," if you will, then good for her. If she's happy, then good for her. I much prefer this new kinder, gentler Lohan to the wild party girl Lohan (and I'm guessing that she thinks the same thing).
So, I don't know if it's OK to like Lindsay Lohan again. But I do. Like her, that is. Again.
Welcome back, Lindsay! We've all missed you.
