Hahaha. OK, that was bad.
But it leads me to this: My favorite people that I "discovered" this year (give or take a few months... wha, does this have to be an exact science?)...
Penn - this girl embodies everything you can think of when you think "good person." She's always positive, and she's always trying to better herself and the environment around her. One good side effect of this is that she makes the people around her strive to make themselves better, too. What more can I say? She's awesome.
The Fount of Useless Information - AKA CK, this is another person who always positive, and he's always got a kind word to say. Plus, the guy is nuts with the trivia. Someday, we'll work out how to play a big game of Trivial Pursuit online, and then... well, it'll be on.
April - boy, oh boy, did we ever get off on the wrong foot. Calmer heads eventually prevailed, we made our apologies, and now I consider her a friend. I can't wait to see a picture of her smile.
Macca - another really good person. Definitely the kind of person who, if he's your friend, he's your friend for life. And I still owe him an email.
Tripps - I found this guy looking through random Flickr pictures, and finding one of Devinn Lane amongst his pictures. Obviously, he's pretty cool. Now, we don't always agree on everything, but I respect him and his opinion. See? You don't have to hate people who don't agree with you.
Becki - she's smart, she's funny, and she's got my kinda sense of humor - crude (to a point), but not necessarily nasty or mean. Tripps is one lucky dude.
Ms. Q - the Queen of Argyle. I still don't know why. Another really nice, genuine person. And she lives just up the road from me. (well, "the road" is I-5, but still...)
All up in the air - this poor girl. We met for lunch once while she was in town, and I talked her ear off. And then we met for lunch again the next day with reinforcements - Jo on my side, her sister Beth on hers, and we all blabbed away for much too long.
Last one. Maine - funniest guy on the internet. Deserves his own TV show. If Amazon rated blogs, they'd say "If you like Hey, freak!, you'll love QW Maine." He's like me, except smarter, funnier, and more entertaining in general.
