Seriously. There needs to be a word or phrase that really represents the hate, the disdain, the loathing I have for these people, and "Fuck you!" just isn't enough.
[more powerful phrase than FUCK YOU],
Phil Gramm. You say that we're not in a recession; that all of our economic woes are in our heads. We're whiners. Well, yeah, it's easy to call people whiners when they're on the other side of the fence... and you helped to create
many of the woes on that side of the fence, with pushing your pro-corporation anti-consumer economic policies.
And this guy is slated to be McCain's top economic advisor if he becomes President? You know what that means - more of the same policies. Because this recession - it's all in our heads, and therefore,
we won't need nor will we get any kind of economic help from the government.
So yeah, Phil Gramm, you're a fucking cunt.
I'd like to also send out a regular "Fuck You!"...
Senate Democrats who caved to pressure and voted to preserve immunity for telecoms who help the government (and who knows who else) spy on us? Fuck you. Fuck you all. I mean, jeezus, there's Democratic Senate majority, and this immunity bill still passed? I thought we wanted a dem-controlled senate because we wanted a senate that wouldn't rubber stamp all the outrageous shit that Bush is trying to pass... frickin' spineless wimps. You're supposed to represent your constituents and their interests, but instead, you're letting corporations get away with violating our privacy rights. That's just not right. Do your jobs, already.

i'm embarrassed to be from Texass. just know that I never voted for ol' Phil. he can suck it.
what pisses me off about that whole telecom thing is that once GW signed it, poof! all those lawsuits just went away. bullshit!
when will people realize that the government taking away our rights is not good! just because it doesn't apply to you, or you're not doing anything so you don't worry about it... why are people so fucking stupid?

re: the telecom immunity bill, it's about the money. Telecom has an ASSLOAD to throw around. That's about it.

So if all of our economic woes are all in our heads, does that mean I'll be getting back the job I had before being laid off? 'Cuz that would be nice.

Well just my humble opinion, the economy is not in bad shape. I'm actually frustrated at the news saying it is, always focused on this or that minor detail.
The core of our problems is the fact that we are wasting money in Iraq, drawing funds out of our own country. The means we (USA Government) has to take out more loans to pay for the occupation. To weaken the impact of the loans, the US Dollar has intentially been weakened.
Oil isn't any more scarce today that it was in 2000. It's just that the dollar has been weakened, so most resources cost more. That means it is more expensive to do business, which means more money is taken out of the economy, which drives the need for more money and more loans and to weaken the US dollar all the more.
This really isn't a recession. There is lots of money flowing and we are still have very low unemployment. The middle class just got so fat and happy during the Reagan/Clinton years, that this bump in the road seems more serious that it really is. In that way, yes, it is in our minds, but only because we are being told so by the news which is over-reporting minute details.
As far as us being whiners? Well, there's no need for this weakening in our economy, so yes, we have a right to be upset about poor management of our nation by Washington, DC. That's not whining, that's people starting to wake up and realize we've all been lied to in ways that are so wrong at such a fundamental level, in my opinion, of course.

Ouch. I agree with you ... but why is it that the most heinous, evil, horrible name you can think of to call someone is a "fucking cunt?"
Think about it.
