Tweetness

Mashable.com. A neat site. I don't read that blog, but luckily, that doesn't keep me from not knowing every time there's a new post, because I have... Twitter! I know they're not directly connected, but it seems like there are soooo many twats who just love to tweet links every time there's a new post at mashable (and even worse, people who re-tweet other people's tweets about mashable).

I mean, seriously. I know people tweet links all the time. That's fine. But damn, if I wanted a notification every freaking time there's a new post at mashable (or anywhere else, for that matter), then I'd just follow mashable on my RSS reader.

How about I tweet every time there's a new story at CNN? Think that'd get annoying?

Man, I hate talking about this stuff. One, because I try not to be so negative. But mostly because I feel like a douchebag for saying tweet so damned much.
I don't see any of the mashable tweets or retweets. What bugs me are the folks that have their music player of choice tweet what song they're listening to. Would be fine if it were only one song but an hour's worth of tweets every five minutes? lord. just too much.

*and that is pretty ironic considering I don't give a shit about twatter twitter.
All this time I thought twitter was a tweety bird.
Are people who use twitter becoming ADD? Just a question not an accusation. All the stress added seems like a lot of work.
I don't understand the fascination with Twitter at all. Why would anyone want to know what someone's doing or thinking all day long? Why would anyone want to know what *I'm* doing or thinking all day long? Would anyone really want to know that I have to take a shit? Because honestly? That would be the kind of stuff I would twit/tweet/twat whatever about.

Sure, I'm on Facebook and Myspace(<-rarely use since getting on Facebook). The primary reason I joined them was to stay connected with my friends in Florida. I can see pictures of their kids growing up, I can find family members that I don't get to see often, etc. But I certainly don't care to know what they're doing or thinking all day every day.

I've written a blog post about why people do this. Seriously, it boggles my mind.
To be tweet means you are somewhat odd, pleasantly disturbed according to some people. It means you can laugh about the smallest, weirdest things, infect people around you with the Tweetness virus, and have an airy, chill and no-nonsense attitude towards life.
