Hey Freak!

OK, I forgot to blog this yesterday, so I'll just do it today. Well, really, I didn't "forget"... I was just too lazy to.

So anyways, are you one of those people who likes to watch bad movies? I mean really bad movies... I didn't think I was, but apparently, I am. How do I know? I watched Starship Troopers yesterday. Twice. Have you seen this movie? There's no two ways about it - it's freakin' horrible. The story is stale and formulaic. The acting is nonexistant. Sure, there's a coupla quick flashes of Dina Meyer's tits, but really, it's not enough to "save" this movie.

And yet, I still watched it. Twice. And you know? Now that I think about it, I've seen at least parts of that movie like, every other day for two weeks. If it's on, I'll watch it, at least for a little while. I have no idea why.

Does anyone else out there do this? I mean, watch movies that you don't necessarily like, and they're shitty movies, yet you watch 'em anyway? Fuck, I don't need to be wasting my time like that, but I do.

I watched Summer School yesterday, too. Hey, I actually like that movie. Despite Mark Harmon.

I'm right there with you, I've seen bits of it on tv a while now, but watched it till like 1:30am, even though I had to be up early this morning, it somehow seems to suck you in.

I'm like, queen of the B movies. And "B" movies for me includes terrible movies. Didn't I tell you I saw The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen in the theater? I'm terrible.

i loved starship troopers. maybe because i went with one of my exes and we just loved it for how cheesy it was.

not with movies, but definately with tv shows. No matter how bad Charmed is, I will always watch just a bit it of - even if I've seen it a hundred times. And Get Smart. I always stop there as well.

Dooooood, bad movies rock the house. I actually had this discussion with some friends over brunch yesterday. I believe bad movies are good for you because they give you a chance to exercise the mind. Like, where did this director go wrong? Why can't this possibly ever happen in real life? And the like... It's almost like reading a Slylock Fox cartoon, except with wicked cool explosions.

However, in the great pantheon of bad bad bad movies, you barely missed the Rolls Royce. Starship Troopers 2. The sequel, with not a single decent actor or feasible reason for its existence. It's soooooo bad. Get the popcorn ready.

my favorite movie is a bad movie - Hackers. but it's so bad it's good. i like watching bad movies if i can mock them Mytery Science Theater style.

Bad, my ass!! There is a standing order in my household that any time Starship Troopers is on, we watch it.

Oh, and also? I still have a crush on Chainsaw. He was also in Bad Dreams, a kick-ass crappy horror movie, with the villain from The Forbidden Dance...

Holy shit...BAD MOVIE DAISY CHAIN!

Mine are "Urban Cowboy" and "Selena." I just can't help it. When I come across them with the remote I HAVE to stop and watch, even though I know they're complete cheese.

I have a special place in my heart for bad movies, especially bad sci-fi. It's the greatest thing in the world to watch, in particular at 1am with a beer in hand.

Hey...I liked Summer School too. Maybe it's because I loved the 80s too.

It's on so often, they're gonna rename HBO to HDO...since Beastmaster isn't the anchor anymore.

I watched it yesterday, too. At 3, and then at 6. I love it. Best dialogue ever.

Starship Troopers was on in my house yesterday too. I think it had to be one of the worst movie I have ever seen. But we sat there. ????

My roommate watched Iron Eagle IV the other night. To make matters worse, he even paused the DVR when he had to get something to drink so he wouldn't miss anything.

I love bad teen flicks - like Napoleon Dynamite... THAT was a funny movie.

seriously though if you want the ultimate in cheese I suggest you try and find the TV movie Model by Day w/ Famke Janssen. Now that was so bad it was good!

Dude, I feel your pain for this movie. It came on HBO or one of those channels a few weeks ago and I was forced to watch it with my brother and father. My dad loves this flick and kept laughing his ass off as I rolled my eyes.

I must watch the League of Extrordanairy Gentel-Crap, everytime it's on the TV.

a couple of weeks ago i watched 'another karate kid'...all the way through.

it's amazing what kind of shite i will watch now that my computer is in a less convenient place.

Starship Troopers does suck. Sadly? We have it on DVD (it HAD to have been a gift).

I manage to watch large parts of "GoodBurger" at least once a month. I don't know why though, probably too lazy to change the channel.

I also read the book by the same name. Great stuff.
