So, I was watching the State of the Union last night...
I heard Bush talk about how we need to make permanent all those tax cuts for the rich. I heard him talk about the growing threat in Iran. I heard him talk about how we need to give immunity to those who aid the government in domestic spying. And I wondered...
Who is still buying this garbage?
Let's not forget that recently, a study has discovered
935 false statements in the two years following the terrorist attacks on 9/11. Yes, that's right, nine hundred and thirty five lies. In two years. Obviously, these people have no qualms about outright lying to people in order to garner support for their causes. Why should we trust anything they say?
Why should we trust anything Bush says?

I particularly liked the part where he said the future of quality health care involved trusting patients and doctors to make medical decisions instead of letting Congress do it for us. Well...unless it's abortion and end of life issues. Then it's A-OK to let Congress make medical decisions for us.
Fucking hypocrite.

I felt compelled to watch, but it made me so amazingly nauseated. Looking at him get all those accolades when he should be on trial for breaking our Constitution. I only hope that the Democrats don't find a way to screw up this election. I am so hopeful, but a bit nervous. At least we never have to watch him make that speech ever again.
