Play artist…

OK, things used to be, I'd play little games on Fridays. Match game. Random music quizzes. They were nice ways to kill some time whilst counting down for the weekend...

Today? Inspired by that Ford Focus/Sync System commercial, we'll do the "Play artist" game. Well, it's not really a game; I just made it up. Here's how it'll go... you name a band or artist, and I will, however grudgingly, name at least song I have by that band or artist. And if I don't have anything by that band/artist, then you owe me a dollar. Sound fun? No? Well, it's all I could think of. Really, if anyone plays along, I'll consider it a minor miracle.

So, go ahead. Do your best to try to embarass me. I'm not scared of your calls for Michael Bolton or Color Me Badd songs!

And yes, I'm kidding about the dollar.

And please, feel free to play along, too. Hell, I'll even start. Ready?

Play artist... Hall & Oates.
Play artist....Milli Vanilli
(yeah, I probably mis-spelled that).

Bah ba ba bah, bah ba ba bah baby. Don't forget my number. Bah ba ba bah, bah ba ba bah baby. Love is stronger than thunder.
By the way, I own Hall & Oates on vinyl and cassette and saw them in concert in the early 80s - opening act: A Flock of Seagulls.

Play artist... Olivia Newton-John

You have to believe we are magic, nothin' can stand in our way. You have to believe we are magic, don't let your aim ever stray. And if all your hopes survive, your destiny will arrive. I'll bring all your dreams alive... for you.
Play Artist - Echo & The Bunnymen

You'll flow down her river, she'll ask you and youll give her... Lips like sugar, Sugar kisses.
Hehe, Louise must've just come from seeing Juno--the whole soundtrack was full of those songs, I believe!

And sticking with 80s twins, Play Artist....Nelson Twins!
Crap, I'm retarded....I meant to say Thompson Twins!!

And I know Nelsons were technically like 1990, but there was a tangent in my mind that made sense....yea....

You say I'm a dreamer, we're two of a kind. Both of us searching for some perfect world we know we'll never find. So perhaps I should leave here, yeah, and go far away. But you know that there's nowhere that I'd rather be than with you, here today. Whoa-oo-oh. Whoa-oo-ohhhhh-ooo-ohhhh.
Play artist - Bob Dylan

BZZT. Sadly, I have no Bob Dylan. I really should remedy that.
Bob Dylan's 'Modern Times' is pretty good. At least you can undertand most of what he is singing.
Play Artist…….. Spice Girls

Stop right now……..Thank you very much
rofl this is kinda cool. How about the Pet Shop Boys wink. I'm more of a gamer nerd but I always enjoy obscure music.
CNN played that Ford Focus commercial over and over again last weekend..
Play Artist... Hannah Montana
