OK, so, I know I have at least two readers from New York... so who's heard of the DJ Miss Jones on HOT97? What's she like? Is she like, a female shock jock or something? I'm just curious...

Because I heard she was suspended for playing a song parody about the tsunami victims.

Now, you hear about this kinda shit all the time. Sometimes, I'll agree with the suspension, sometimes I won't. I mean, let's face it... sometimes, DJs get suspended for things that aren't even that offensive. But then I read the lyrics, and... well hey, you tell me if you think it's offensive: (sung to the tune of We Are the World)

Man, I wish I could read a story where like, a dog rescues a dying family or some shit like that. Because this other shit that dominates the news really pisses me off sometimes.

i've lived with at least two different racists. so i had to learn some sort of tolerance. i agree that you have the right to say whatever you want. but know that when you call me a 'zipperhead' you will probably receive a piece of my fist at high velocity. there are repercussions to what you say or do. common sense should have dictated that this was a bad idea. DJ Miss Jones is a fool. radio is a dying media and she's gonna help bury it.

JESUS , in the UK we had a soccer reviewer on Sky sports , our biggest sports channel SACKED for making a joke about David Beckham and why he wasnt joing Newcastle Utd because he had heard about teh TOON ARMY (Newcastle fans) play on words and a joke to say Beckham is a can short of a six pack , but WHAT TEH FUCK WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IF HE HAD PLAYED THAT SONG

Stupid miss jones ought to be fired. Such ignorant comments. I don't she or todd "lynch" would like it if I made n_gger jokes and sang a song full of words like jigaboo, junglebunny, coons, shitskin...etc. Plus some people in Africa was affected by this disaster. Why not mock their OWN people? This is similar to the crap that shaq the scumbag said about Yao Ming (The Ching Chong joke). miss jones ought to be hanged, and todd lynn ought to be shot by a firing squad. Miss Info, on the other hand, doesn't deserve to get fired because she stood up for her Asian ethnic background. Miss Info also doesn't have to donate part of her salary to the tsunami disaster. I hope the FCC slaps a huge fine on Hot 97.
