open call for deer crossing signs

I'm making this a sticky entry.

I have something to ask of all U.S. residents: take a picture of a deer crossing sign in your state and send it to me (or post it on Flickr and give me the link). Oh yeah, and don't forget to tell me where (in which state) you took the picture. WI people especially - I need a picture of your deer crossing signs. Chicago people? Next time you're up there, like at the Dells or something, find a deer crossing sign and take a picture, please. And yanno, while you're up there, you may as well take a picture of the "Bong Recreation Area" sign, too. Just because, well... it's funny.

Here's an example of a "normal" deer crossing sign, as we're all used to seeing: [here]. WI signs look different (well, at least they used to).

A-HA! There is least one other blogger who's noticed that WI deer crossing signs are different [read post]. See? I'm not crazy. But, we still need a sign as proof.

And yanno what? I think a lot of people are having fun with this, so... what the hell... let's make a collection of any kind of crossing sign that's funny. Bear crossing. Deer crossing. Illegal immigrant crossing. And not just crossing signs. Falling rock signs are usually pretty funny. We'll get a collection together, and I'll make a bigass post, and we'll all have a bunch of laughs.
awww, happy bday! i'm a recent lurker, guess i'm outting myself now.
The florida signs look like the normal ones... I think. Maybe without the honkin' antlers, though. Has anyone seen a deer do that stance while crossing the road?

My captcha is "log" how apropo, eh, poop-boy?
Last time I looked, Illinois is the same as the one you posted. If I find a different one, I'll let you know.
sphinxy, we have deer here -- there's a crossing sign right by our neighborhood entrance. I'll have to remember to take my camera with today...
DAMMIT, DAMMIT, DAMMIT! Had I know about this, I would've taken pictures this week on my road trip. In west virginia they have the deer picture and a bear chasing it. Because apparently bears cross there, too. Heh.
We have numerous herds of the dang things here in Colorado but our signs look like your's.
Some New Mexico deer signs have rudolph noses on them but are otherwise standard. Since I actually remembered to take a picture while driving home today, here is the link to a NM sign.
You should make a flickr group of deer x-ing pictures people send in. smile
See, now that is a great question!

Arizona has an odd one. I don't have a picture of it though.
Just linked here from a comment you left on a blog...

I used to live in Germany, and there was an "Old People Crossing" sign as you went up a hill near my house. I will have to email my parents to see if they still have the pictures that we took of it...

Great stuff so far! smile
What about Kangaroos and Koala signs? They're everywhere here where I live.
Poop!! I went out today and got a pic of a bull crossing sign (we're in spain, i don't think we have deer here) just to include in your project here...but I just realized it says "U.S. residents".
If you open it up to non-US residents, let me know!! smile
I found one:

Found it! On my way back from Up North this weekend.

Oh, er, wait. I guess Kristin got there first...

Actually, since I was paying attention to signs I never really look at anyway, I saw three different kinds of deer signs...
The post still looks kinda sticky...
I'll have to get a picture of the blind person crossing for you. I hadn't ever seen one until recently. Apparently one blind person has moved to my town, and they put one up, as there were no blind people before.
Hmmm no new blog. No more blogging?
