OK, so I'm blogging from the Apple/Mac store. Not a conincidence.
Anyways, a random thought that popped into my head. Is there anyone else out there who's noticed that the "deer crossing" signs in Wisconsin are totally different from the deer crossing signs everywhere else? Seriously. Here, the deer on the deer crossing sign is like, "bounding" along. Leaping. Runnning. In WI, it's a fat deer walking.
I'm not joking about this.
Please. Somebody else out there has to know what I'm talking about. Anyone?

My friend and I got loaded (*gasp* NO, not the Witch) one night and actually went out and made some of the deer crossing signs in WI, anatomically correct.
Maybe the deer up here are more laid back than elsewhere.

You're in Wisc now? Me too -- I'm over by Wisconsin Dells right now. Yeah, the state has some interesting signs. LOL

I wish I could help you here, but growing up in Florida I didn't see too many deer crossing signs. The only signs I can go by are the ones here is Virginia (which is for lovers! Did you know that? I'm waiting to find the lovers, I'll keep you posted.) We have leaping deer, wearing tu-tu's and tiara's. Ok, so no tu-tu's and tiara's but it was a pleasant thought.

I've never been to Wisc., so I can't help you either but, I do know that in most places along the east coast the deer in the deer crossing signs look like they're gay ... not that there's anything wrong with that.

It's from all the cheese they are eating.

Haveing never been to WI I can't comment on the signs, but Yay for being in the Mac store! I switched over to Macs three years ago and I have never been happier.

i have actually made it a point to study the variations in deer crossing signs in both my country and yours. it absolutely freaked me out to see signs with deer looking like they're about to do the can-can as opposed out more leisurely (possibly doped-up) BC deer.
now that i have a camera with me 95% of the time, i have sworn to compile photographic evidence of this phenomenon. i just wish i'd had this foresight while in ohio and tennessee ('cause i sure as hell ain't going back).

The deer crossing signs in Alabama contain "bounding" deer as well. I had never seen them depicted otherwise.
Our humans may be lazy-fat-asses (I say that with pride) but our deer are active and lean. Thank you.

The deer on the VA signs look like they are leaping (flying) and they have antlers. So to me they are telling me to watch out for reindeer!
