Nothing else to say, so I figured I'd rattle off a few more for my 100 things post...
- I speak in movie quotes quite frequently. Hence, most of the time, people have no idea what the fuck I'm saying, or why. I said, I said that I saw your dad on "Fantasy Island!"
- Star Wars geek? Check. I've seen all the movies at least a billion times each. I can quote almost the entire original movie (episode 4) off the top of my head. Episodes I, II, and III... I saw them all on the day they opened, all on the first (midnight) showing. The last movie to come out, Episode III, I saw twice on the day it came out. But my Star Wars knowledge is all about the movies; I've never read any of the related fiction books.
- I hate reading books. I really do. Magazines, newspapers, blogs... I have no problem reading any of those. But... books? Screw that. I don't have the attention span for it, and really, I don't care to read. The last book I read in its entirety had to be in 1986, my senior year in high school. I don't remember what book it was, but I'm sure it was something assigned to me, and thus, something really boring. The last book I read for fun was Vonnegut's "Breakfast of Champions." I believe that was in 1985.
- I am a Star Trek fan. Not a Trekkie, not a Trekker. A fan. I don't speak Klingon, and I don't go to conventions. (Really, I've always wanted to check out a convention)
- I once stuck my hand into a beehive. We were rock climbing, and I missed the "Whatever you do, don't put your hand in this hole, because there's a beehive in there" warning. I was slipping, I needed a hand-hold, so I put my hand in the place where I could get the best grip. Unfortunately, the beehive was there first.
See, kids? Never drink and rock-climb. You just might get stung 20 times or so.
And, I can't think of any more for now. See? This is why I made it it's own category, and not just one single "100 things" post.

It's almost more fun this way ... you get to spread out the little snippets of random information we learn about you
Oh, and I'm a Star Trek fan too. My uncle? HE's a Trekkie with a capital T. I just enjoyed the shows ...

Does 21 annoy Joelle? Melissa gets annoyed with me when I speak in movie quotes too much. Mostly because she has no idea what I'm babbling about at first, then finally figures out that I was quoting something and she would have been better off just ignoring me.
I just got the Star Wars theatrical edition DVD from Netflix and watched it the other day (It's kind of nice to see it without seeing "Episode IV A New Hope" at the beginning of the crawl.) It's weird after all this time to see that Greedo never even got a shot off at the Mos Eisley cantina.
I guess you could add "not allergic to bees" as #26, otherwise that would have been really bad.

Said in reference to a sailboat directly behind us, "I think we are being followed" ...no one got it. I speak in movie quotes way too much. Perhaps a whole group of us "movie quoters" should get together and have entire conversations in just lines from movies...I'm just saying why waste the talent...

"Perhaps it's just a fisherman out for a late night ride through eel-infested waters."

Aww you've got me beat. I only saw 2 of the 3 new Star Wars movies at Midnight. Although, I did go to the special late-night showing of the theatrical re-release of the original 3 movies.
Oh and I worked at a movie theater and when I first started was Feb. 1997, right around said re-release. I ALMOST got a cool Star Wars button, but alas, they were all gone by the time I started working. I tried to barter for one, but to no avail...
But um, yea, I'm not fanatical either.

#21 is funny. With that and your rhyming I imagine a conversation with you would be rather amusing.
#23 There are a lot of really good books out there - you really ought to try it!

I really like the way you are doing this. I think it's a better glimpse into the things that you like, things about you.
I don't speak in movie quotes all the time...but I like to make random reference to them when my brain is alert. Mostly I get a "what?" My hubby called me one day and said "Dude! When I was getting ready to enter the (left blank) tunnel I saw like what looked like an old huge wooden ship!"
And to that I asked "Was it Diversity."
Silence ensued...

I LOVE LOVE LOVE when people can speak in movie quotes.

I talk in Dane Cook quotes and most people have no idea what I'm referring to! But the ones that DO? Oh yeah, it's gold. :D
