Does anyone here own a leaf blower?
I'm just wondering. Because I'd like to ask if there's a set of rules for leaf blower ownership. Specifically, I'd like to ask if there's a rule that states that you must use your blower in the morning for as long as possible next to the window of someone who's got a day off.
Guess who's got the day off?
I swear, I don't remember the last time I've had a day off and
not had one of those fuckers outside my window. Seriously. I mean, it's been raining here on and off for like, two weeks now (keep in mind, it almost
never rains here). Today, the sky is still filled with clouds. Rain is possible. Yet, the freakin blowing continues. Can we have this rule changed? Maybe this is
one of those things that should be run by Ali. You know, because she's one smart motherphucker.
Oh well. Why am I complaining? I still got to sleep in past 11am.
Heh.
Days off are a beautiful thing.
Shit. I need to do laundry.

Yes. Yes I do. Hate me.
I own a leaf blower, however, I use it on the following instances:
1. There's a metric assload of leaves on my patio or lawn (up to 25 minutes)
2. The patio has been rained upon and I'm about to have people over and the place needs drying out (5-10 minutes)
3. I'm cleaning my garage. (no more than 10 minutes)
Now I know about those people you speak of, and I only do mine in the late morning/mid-afternon hours.
And for all those who are annoyed by people like me... I once dropped the leaf blower on my foot, hitting it just right to crack the toe, then if that wasn't bad enough, I ripped the nail off a week later, eventually requiring surgery.

We own a leaf blower/vacuum.
I do not EVER use it before noon. EVER.
I can sympathize with you though, as our beighbor has one, and hes out there blowing leaves off of his roof at 730 am on some Saturdays. He also has a power washer thingy that he uses to clean his van EVERY SUNDAY MORNING.
ugh. Hope you enjoy the rest of your day!!

Happy De-lurker Day, Mikey!
Some areas actually have regulations about those things. My local paper in Playa del Rey often has a list of crimes....including leaf blowing infractions!

I do have a leaf blower, one of those back-pack ones from Stihl. And it's so loud you have to wear ear protection. But no NEVER before noon does it get used.

Leaf blowers are one of my pet peeves. I freakin' hate them. I was so tickled when we got our first rains awhile back because the leaf blowing idiot workers had to use a rake! Imagine! I was so thrilled, I even took a picture for my blog.
Stupid leaf blowers. They even blow crap through the cracks around my garage door. If I have my screen door open, I swear to God, they stand there ON PURPOSE and blow crap up under it.
And, don't EVEN get me started on the idiots at work! Jerks.
(No, I'm not bitter. Why would you think that?)
