So, there's a new Harry Potter book out, I guess. Why am I only guessing? Why am I not sure?
Because I'm one of the few people in the world who doesn't give a flying fuck about Harry Potter.
Maybe I'll be interested when he starts growing up, and figures that he can use his magical powers to get laid. But until then? Zzzzzzzzzz.

I suppose this would not be a good place for me to comment that I'm in the process of re-reading books 1-5 before reading book 6.
Anyway, at least your reason for not being interested is because it's not interesting and not because it will insight devil worship among the young children. I hear the new pope has had his say about Harry Potter...if I wasn't going to hell before, I am now.

I loved it (of course, I would). It's just fun reading. And there is no getting laid in the new book, but there is a lot of snogging
it's (questionably) kidlit, so there can't be too much ick.
I don't mind that you don't like it. As a previous poster said, at least you're just apathetic. And at least you're not one of those who just rails against HP all the time. I can't stand those. I like to read my book in peace

My son kept on at me until I finally started reading them last summer. I must admit (sigh)...I started with the first and read on into fall until I was done with the 5th. I am working on the 6th now.
I figure I'm still sane until I start wanting to dress like him on Halloween...right?
