i must be crazy

OK. I think that everybody who owns an iPod probably at one point or another came across a song that he didn't know that he had. You know what I'm talking about - you don't know what you're in the mood to listen to, so you just put it on "randomize" and hope for the best.

Well, last week, I made a startling (re-)discovery...

There is a Michael Bolton song on my iPod.

Now, before you jump to conclusions, let me explain. It's a little known fact that, before he got big singing lame-ass love songs, Michael Bolton used to be a heavy metal dude. That's right, a rocker. Dude, seriously. Obviously, his metal career didn't pan out (despite one of his songs being used in the movie Back to School), and he's since gone on to super wuss-dom. But his metal legacy remains... thanks to this song: Everybody's Crazy.

And honestly? Forgetting that it's Michael Bolton singing? It's not a bad song. Shocking, but true.

Hell. Listening to that again, I'd venture to say that he sounds a lot like Sammy Hagar. Really. And do you know what that means...?

It means that he could be the next lead singer for Van Halen. Think about it. Van Bolton.

*head explodes*
I find those usually come from soundtracks I've downloaded. Suddenly, I'll hear that Stereo MCs song "Connected" (which I hate). It's off the Hacker's soundtrack. The "13 Going on 30" soundtrack is all 80s cheese. And I've got effin Wilson Phillips from "Harold and Kumar..."

But Bolton, dude? Heh.
Naw, I think we should stick him in Damn Yankees with that tool from Styx.
makes me wish I wish I still had that recording of Kenny G back when he was with his ska band "Sax Machine."

That happened to me today. I discovered that I have Michelle Pfeiffer singing "Cool Rider" from Grease 2. Mr. Man is reconsidering our six year marriage now. Ok, not really.
Van Bolton. Ha ha. I am way too amused by that. And I even knew about his heavy metal past.

(Here's where I deny owning a "soft rock" Bolton audio cassette.)
I'm sorry, but all I see in my head is the promotional posters of Van Bolton and I cannot stop laughing.
Van Bolton... LOL
Me: Hey hubby, listen to this.

Hubby: What?

Me: This song.

Hubby: Huh?

Me: Who do you think that is?

Hubby: Oh jeez, it's that assclown.

I love my husband. No-talent assclown indeed.
I remember "Fool's Game" that he did. Worse? I seem to remember liking it, too.
For some reason, I find that a lot of people don't know about the best part of the iPod...the Music Quiz in the Extras/Games section.

Most of the time I know the songs, but then I'm always stumped by one I had NO CLUE I had on there.
