OK, so I've been on the information superhighway (using the internet, to you laypeople) for years. During all of that time, I've had an email account. There's never been a time when I didn't have an email account, or didn't know how to use it.
So, somebody tell me why I'll
still email people attachments
and forget to attach the fuckin' attachment.
Sure, everybody does it once or twice. But you think I'da learned my lesson after the, oh, thousandth time?
I may as well go for a million.
On an unrelated note, it smells like barbeque sauce in here.

I've been doing e-mail for 10 years, and it happens to me at least once a month! Do you ever forget to send the attachment, only to remember a split-second too late? That's what usually happens to me. I hit send, then think "Ooops!", but can't click "stop" fast enough to save it. D'oh!

I hate it when I do that! Though it could be worse - my co-worker accidentally sent "allusers" the pics from her kid's 1st birthday - now that was funny!

Probably points to a need for a more elegant solution for attaching files to emails. Something the Thunderbird people should tackle.

I do that all the freakin time. I hate having to send the *oopsie* follow up email. it's hard to pretend you're not really a moron sometimes.

You mean I'm actually supposed to DO something to "attach" the file to the outgoing email? I thought it just knew that I wanted it to go and so it went when I sent the email.
No?
Huh. That's interesting. ;o)

If we send (or are sent) certain attachments from our work email account, they are stripped by our mailsweeper server. The stripped attachments include zip files. After all the crap we had with viruses, it seemed to be a good thing. It has worked out well for us.

Twice today, and generally at least once every day. Today was special.

You know, I've been thinking about this. I'll take a friend who accidentally attaches nothing to the attachment, then a friend who accidentally forwards you the nasty things they were trying to say behind your back.
