I swear, sometimes I think that
Joelle forgets that I'm
not gay. For example, take this conversation that occurred last night, when I asked who the hell actor Alan Cumming was (he was on a commercial for a new movie):
me: What's he been in?
her: Lots of things. He was on Broadway, he did "Cabaret"...
me: um...

I am certainly NOT gay and I know who Alan Cumming is, dude ! His nickname, seriously, is "Uppin."

i wasn't implying that knowing who Alan Cumming is isn't an indication of gayness... it all has to do with knowing Broadway shows and the cast of "Cabaret".

All I know about Alan Cumming is that he played Nightcrawler, resembles Paul Reubens and has a porn star name.

I know who a lot of the cast of "Cabaret" are; maybe I am gay, after all, and my fondness for porn stars is a dubious cover

At one point he was on Conan (I think promoting X-2) and in talk about nicknames he talked about how he thought about becoming A-Cum based on the J-Lo trend. Also, he was fantastic in Plunkette and MacLeane (with Johnny Lee Miller and Robert Carlyle). He played a Louis XIV ere man who was both excessively flamboyent and loved the ladies. it was wonderful.

Spice World
The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas

And can't forget his tremendous voice-over work in the Garfield movie.

I always connect him to Spy Kids. That doesn't say much for my movie history, does it?
You could always impress her by saying, "Oh he's that CHARACTER ACTOR."

Yep he plays nightcrawler in x men 2 and made a very cool interesting character even more cool and interesting. He's one of those guys that just morphs into his character so he's hard to recognize sometimes. And has a hot fucking Scottish accent. He's one of my secret boyfriends

I'm not gay either BUT I did know that he got massively good reviews for the re-working of Caberet on Broadway. Which why I was kind of shocked when I saw him pop up in a kid's movie (Spy Kids) but I suppose it's a kudo to his versitility.

He was also the evil Russian computer programmer in that first James Bond film with Pierce Brosnan,
Goldeneye.
