OK, there's a lot of shit going on today. Well, not really, but I like to say that. (huh?) Whatever. Consider me slap-happy.
So, usually on Fridays, I host
Match Game, but for the past coupla weeks, I've taken a break. I'm still on the break, but the lovely
Michele has offered to take over for the week. So what are you waiting for?
Go play, already!
Oh, you're back? Or you just haven't gone yet? Either way, the Friday madness continues. Don't feel like working?
Here's one of those life-sucking, time wasting games that we all love, but hate (
thanks to Jules for the link)
Damn, dude. You're still here? What do I have to do, give you some shitty music? Maybe not "shitty," per se, but... well, this is definitely music you've either forgotten about, or would have never downloaded in a million years anyway. But here you are, and you're about to get it now. Plus, these aren't the droids you're looking for.
This is probably the very very
very first record that I distinctly remember hearing/playing on my record player.
The Streak. Ethel, you shameless hussy, indeed.
Did you have a
Close 'N Play ?

Apparently I
love crappy music...hurray for crappy music!
And The Streak is good...but not as good as "It's Me again Margaret"...so sad that we know who Ray Stevens is...

I had many hours of fond Ray Stevens listening time as a kid. Heck, I even had the music videos! Thanks for the memory

Ray Stevens is tops in both humorous and serious music.

My dad had a tape of Ray Stevens' Greatest Hits, which he'd play in the car on long trips to entertain my brother and I. We can still do the entire pirate schtick. "I wanna sing and dance, I wanna sing and dance, I wanna be a pirate in the Pirates of Penzance".

Did you know that Herbie Hancock is actually an old dude with roots in Jazz back in the 60's? I always thought he was one of those keyboard heads from the 80's who just churned out really cool shit. The guy is actually quite talented.
