Hey Freak!

The other day, we were at the store, and I wanted something to drink, so I grabbed a couple of bottles of Pepsi. And for some reason, it tasted just a little better than usual. Don't get me wrong - it was still a Pepsi, but... well, it was just a hint sweeter than usual. It had a little less aftertaste than usual. I couldn't quite put my finger on it, but I knew that this particular Pepsi tasted better than Pepsi normally tastes.

I love that.

I love when you buy something that you get all the time, and by some fluke, it tastes noticably better than usual.

Have you ever had that? You get the extra good fries from McDonald's? You get the extra hot and spicy steak fajita burrito bowl from Chipotle? They're those things that, while you'll still enjoy the "regular" version of whatever you got, you'll still always remember that one thing that was just a littttle better than usual. Do you know what I'm talking about?

Anyway.

I don't have a point here, except to say... when life throws you that little extra something, enjoy it.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna try to finish waking up. Boy, I sure wish I had an extra good Pepsi...

That happens to me with Coke sometimes. I've been "off" of soda for a while but I was on a nice Coke binge a couple of weekends ago when I visited my family. It was OK. I wasn't thinking "man...how could I have given up on this?!?!" Then one day last week at work I bought a Coke. Ice cold. In a can. And it was the best damned Coke I've had in some time. Every drink. Shivers down my spine. Just....YES! COKE! THIS IS IT! That kind of thing...

I've had that happen with Starbucks. I get my coffee there often, so I know when something a little better than usual. Had it happen the other day with a caramel macchiato. That first drink was like "oh yeeeah that's the stuff".

Maybe that means you should be getting Coke instead of Pepsi, which is far superior.

I do love when that stuff happens though. Better than the opposite effect which is, you have it so often, it stops tasting the way it did when it first made you love it!

This has never happened to me. That's really not fair.

I know exactly what you mean! it's so weird because most of the time I notice that something tastes better than usual is when I eat/drink it after I get high. I'm sure it's just a coincidence though. :D

that happened friday night. we stopped by carl's on the way somewhere & i got criss-cut fries. they were HOT and CRISPY. the best fries i've ever had at carl's. seriously.

The Popeye's by my house has extra special good Cokes. Those always make me happy.
