Just throw your hands in the air
And wave 'em like you just don't care.
Why is it that there are still rappers and hip hop artists who use those lyrics? Hello, Rap 101. Or, baby's first lyric. Whatever you want to call it. That may have passed as "rap" 15 years ago, but now, that's playskool, baby. I mean, come on... it's like if Tom Clancy or Stephen King started their next novel with "Once upon a time." There's a time and place for things, and the time for those "rap" lyrics left a few years ago.
Totally random thought number one: Whenever I hear somebody say "You're the best," in my head, I'll sing "... around! Nothin's gonna ever bring you down!"
Totally random thought number two: Whenevery I hear someone say "Surely," I'll let them finish the sentence, and then I'll say "... and don't call me Shirley."
OK, I haven't put up new music in a while, so here you go:
That's Good, by Devo. Because every Friday should include some happy music.
Lovemakers on Video, mashed by
DJ Matt Hite. Because you'll surely need something to keep you awake until it's time to go home. All together, now: "... and don't call me Shirley."
Chrismas in Hollis, by Run DMC. Because... well, if you haven't noticed, it's the Christmas season. The "real" Christmas season, not that fake shit where advertisers start selling the Christmas crap before Halloween.
Kickin' Flaver, by the Phunk Junkeez. Because everybody needs a chill, yet upbeat song to keep them going after lunch. So put your hands in the air, and wave 'em like... eh, forget it.
Mixmaster Throwdown v4, mixed by DJ Markski (OK, fine, so this was left over from last week. It's still a good mix.). Suitable for playing at the end of the day, so you can do your happy dance. You know, the one you do because you're done with work, and the weekend officially starts.
Happy Friday!
« close it up
wika wika wika we're kickin' flaver! haha.
I'm in a weird mood.

Whenever I walk past a man yelling taxi at me, I turn around and say hey! Dont Call Me That!
They really dont get it in Spanish.

whenever anyone asks for the carrots at the dinner table, my dad always says "some people just don't carrot all."
okay, so it's a better verbal joke
there's more, but I can't think of them right now . . .
