Hey Freak!

OK, I'm sure we're all aware by now that Bob Barker has done his last taping of "The Price is Right." Like many other people, I grew up watching Price. I love the show. I love Bob. It was really sad to see him go.

But, Bob. Please. Come back one more year. Couldn't you come back for one more year? Heck, even half a year would be good.

Just come back and agree to do the show until Rosie finds another job. You know, Rosie O'Donnell. You see, she wants your old job. This can't happen. Period. I don't want to have to avoid TPiR for the rest of my life, but I'd have to if she was the host. And it's not because I agree or disagree with her political views. It's not because she's a lesbian. It's because... she's just not very like-able. She's too confrontational. I'm not saying that's bad - it's just a bad quality to have in a game show host.

Don't get me wrong - this isn't a Rosie-bashing post. I'm sure she's a fine woman. I just don't think she'd be a good game show host. Especially not for such a classic as TPiR.

Dangit indeed!! If she's chosen as host, I will not watch that show either.

Unfortunately, he wouldn't come back to keep her from getting the job. In fact, he has even recommended her for the position. (Insert link to article I'm too lazy to look up.)

I agree with you though. She just doesn't have the nature needed to be a good game show host.

Of course, when it comes to replacing Bob Barker, I think the same theory applies as it does when replacing a legendary coach. "You don't want to be the one replacing the guy. You want to be the one replacing the guy who replaced the guy." Whoever is next will be doomed to constant comparisons that he or she cannot live up to.

I am not a Rosie hater but I don't think she would be right for this job. I sure hope it goes to some one else.

She'd make a bad host on TPiR for the same reason I would... she'd like everyone to win. Everyone. I don't even understand why she'd want to do it but, then again, I was never a fan of TPiR or Bob Barker. :shrug:

I imagine that would entail a lot of eye rolling on her part when she thinks the people they've called to "come on down!" aren't doing things correctly and then she wouldn't be able to not tell people they are stupid and after too long when they call your name to "come on down"...instead of being overcome with the desire to run around and say things like "WOO HOO!" while waving your arms over your head, your response would be "Well crap."

Can't stand her. Spewing ill-thought-out opinions that are at times contradictory with what you've said before and hypocritical do not tend to endear a person to me. That and I find she's way more vitriolic than funny at all, and you have a bad combination for someone trying to stay in the public consciousness.

Nooooooooooooooooooo. That canNOT happen is right.

And I was just thinking, I need to do my "I love TPIR and Bob Barker" post today too.

I completely ADORE Rosie but I have to admit that (as a life-long tpir viewer) you're probably right. Is she really taking over? Or is it just speculation? If she does, I doubt it'll last long (as much as I hate to say it).

I actually think Rosie gets a bad rap from this latest stint on "The View." It's called "The View" for a reason. I think if she were to do a game show, she would know better than to be confrontational to game show contestants.

But I gotta ask what they're going to do with "Barkers Beauties" in this sitch.

What are they going to replace the models with?!??!!??!

I see her slipping in her little cracks whenever she can...for example:

When the mountain climber guy falls off the cliff "ooo I wish that was Donald Trump"

or who knows what she'll use to fill in the "have your pets spayed or neutred" portion of the show...
