Hey Freak!

balance key

Good morning, and welcome to a beautiful Marquee Monday morning.

Well, beautiful and cold.

Hard to believe that I grew up in Alaska, because I thought it was freezing this morning, and it turns out that it's 60F outside.

I shouldn't be cold.

OK, I'm gonna stop with the marquees for a sec. Here's your music for today, dedicated to the late Noriyuki Morita, whose most famous role was as Kesuke Miyagi. But let's not forget that he played the original Arnold in "Happy Days." Rest in peace, dude.

Glory of Love
Don't Leave Me This Way
Goodbye to You

And now, he's in Heaven.

Heh. I didn't plan that. Really, those songs were taken from last Wednesday's random ten. Maybe I knew something was wrong?

And since I think it's fitting (plus, I like the song), one more from "The Karate Kid" that I've posted a few times lately, but oh well - You're the Best.

Happy Monday!
You should never be allowed to complain about cold as long as you live in San Diego. I had to put up with about six inches of snow over Thanksgiving, so I'm liking the idea of 60 degrees right now.
Best Mr. Miyagi line ever? KKII, when Daniel asks Mr. M if he can chop a tree in half with his bare hands, "Don't know. Tree never attacked me." Cracks my shit up every freaking time.

He really is the reason why I love the Karate Kid movies. Even III which you know was some crap movie.
Does this mean Al Molinaro is going to be in Karate Kid V?

"Yep yep yep yep yep..."
Karate Kid III? Karate Kid V? What are these people talking about?

There were only two Karate Kid movies. There was not a third, movie with weirdly homoerotic undertones, nor was there a fourth where Mr. Miyagi walked in on Hillary Swank in her bra.

They stopped at two, do you hear me? Two!
cold at 60F just means you need a jacket grin or perhaps you just need to run everywhere.

When I vended hot chocolate this weekend, it was pretty cold (I sold really well) -- prolly 45 or so? I just had on two tshirts (well, a tshirt and a jersey), and I was toasty warm . . . as long as I kept moving. I think the moving is the real key to warmth.
Weird. I though it was nice here this weekend. It was t-shirt weather for me and it was only 30º. I don't know what I would do if it was 60º.
grew up in alaska? i thought you grew up in chicago
Thanks for the Karate Kid music. I'm going to blast it loud for Yoshi.
