OK, back in the day, I was a fan of American Gladiators. So, of course, I was a little excited when I saw that they'd be bringing the show back. I couldn't wait to see what changes (improvements) they'd made, along with which games they'd keep. I figured they'd keep Powerball for sure, and maybe Assault.
Anyway, so I watched the premiere, and I have to say, I was totally underwhelmed. Maybe I've grown out of it now. Maybe my standards have gotten higher. Either way, the show kinda bored me. I mean, seriously. I found myself FFWing through most of it, and really, not caring who won. It was then that I decided that American Gladiators would
not go in the current rotation of shows I watch.
And then, I read some reviews of the show. People think it's exciting. People love it. I guess it's really popular.
Seriously?
Hm. Maybe I missed something.
So, do you watch American Gladiators? What do you like about it? Come on, I want to be a fan, but someone needs to convince me that it's a good show. Anyone up to the task? Really, what's so great about the show? Anyone?

I intend to watch it next Monday. I was busy the previous two times it was on. I'm still excited to see it.
You know what show has kind of jumped the shark? Biggest Loser. But I'll keep watching, just because I sometimes find it inspiring, and I need all the inspiration I can get to continue my workouts.

Eh, used to watch American Gladiators all the time in the past. I caught the last showing, maybe 20 minutes of it and was not thrilled. And I'm easily amused, too. Totally fell flat.

I, too, liked American Gladiators when it was on before, and I have to say I enjoy the new show too. Really, I pretty much can't tell a difference between the old show and the new, except I guess they didn't have the announcers quite so center stage before. All the after-event interviews and such. I can't give you a reason 'why' I like it, because I'm not a big sports fan, or a wrestling fan, or a big reality show fan either. But I find myself cheering the contestants on out loud sometimes, and Chip laughs at me.
