For all of those people who made fun of me because I
did dig girls in cat-eye glasses... I happened to see a
lot of girls at the show wearing cat-eyes. And they all looked good. No, really they did.
I tell ya, they're in style. You all should listen to me... I
know shit.
No, really... I do!

First of all, I'd like to thank the ever-lovely
Robyn for upgrading my version of
Moveable Type. Too bad there's no way that tank top will fit ya... well, not comfortably. Maybe next boobie-thon...
I had a great time at the
Porn Show. Quick wrap-up: the first day was fun, but it seemed a lot smaller than the other shows I've been to in
previous years. Woulda stayed longer, but my camera died, and I was still kinda tired from driving all morn. The next day, my pal Dustin was sick, so I went by myself. That worked out well tho, cuz I ended up goofing around with a lot of the girls, instead of the standard "just pose and smile" fare. I got most of my pictures back, but I don't have access to a scanner until next weekend, so you'll have to wait until then to see the pictures. I'm thinking of doing 'em in a photoblog...
Eh, figured it was time for a new banner. Say hello to
Taylor Rain.

OK, I made the drive back from Vegas. It's only a five hour drive, and I usually don't have a problems with it, but this time, I had to take drastic steps in order to stay awake... like:
Sing to myself. Very loudly. And very badly. Worse than
Jimmy Fallon.
Thought of twenty-seven different blog entries. Promptly forgot them all as soon as I parked the car.
Made up blogger-related lyrics to the songs
Addicted to Blog (Addicted to Love) and
No Sleep, I'm Bloggin (No Sleep 'til Brooklyn). Thankfully, I can't remember any of that either.
Dreamed up four different new layouts for my blog. Can't remember of any of those.
Wondered how all my porn pictures turned out.
OK, all that aside... I
did see one of the most beautiful sunsets I've ever seen. It was pretty dark already, and I could see the lights of all the oncoming cars for miles (it was on a hill), but the reflections off the clouds were such a deep red... it was incredible.
Kinda puts things in perspective... I mean, I go to Vegas for a porn convention, and the most spectacular thing I see all weekend is the sunset on the way home.
Beauty is where you find it.

OK, so I'm here at the porn convention, walking around, ogling, taking pictures, gettin autographs, and whatnot. And who do I see?
Vince Neil.
You know, that guy from
The Surreal Life. He may have been in a band before that.
So I get ready to ask for a picture with him. And then... my camera takes a shit. It dies. Go figure. OK, I gotta buy a new one, and I'll get back to y'all.
And I hope someone's taking me seriously this time.

Well, I ended up not leaving so soon. Sorry for the false alarm. Mikey's out partying again this weekend, so here I am, for a little longer.
I have a serious question, actually. I know that's gonna shock you for Mikey's blog, so try not to stress out, ok?
In reading blogs, I've observed that most men who blog have a majority of female readers. For this discussion, we will ignore the existence of the political bloggers, because I am very well aware that they are mostly male.
In these personal blogs written by men, however, I've noticed that a lot of the comments tend to be light and sometimes (a lot of times) of a sexual nature. What surprised me, though, is that I've seen male bloggers post something of a serious nature and the comments are STILL lighthearted and sexual.
There are several people I have in mind where I've noticed this occurring quite regularly, and I've been disappointed to see that it's impossible for the blogger to hold a serious discussion or make a serious post. When he tries, the comments left there tend to make light of the topic or look for the sexual connotations in the discussion and focus on that, instead of what the post is actually about. And if he's married or has a girlfriend, you see her pop in occasionally to make her presence known, keeping an eye on things. It's typical of behavior you see in a singles bar, truthfully.
Which leads me to these questions. Are male bloggers taken seriously? Has blogging become more of an internet singles bar and comments are the equivalent to slipping a guy your number?
